Ghost Chili (Naga Jolokian pepper)

Also know as bhut jolokia, dorset naga, ghost chile, ghost pepper, or naga morich. In 2007, it was confirmed by the Guinness World Records to be the hottest chili in the world, replacing the red Savina. It is a naturally occurring inter-specific hybrid originating in the Assam region of northeastern India. One seed from the naga jolokia can produce sustained intense pain sensations in the mouth for up to 30 minutes before subsiding. In northeastern India, the peppers are smeared on fences or used in smoke bombs as a safety precaution to keep wild elephants at a distance.

About Dos Hombres

Gloria Howard, along with sons, Spike and Scott, opened the original Dos Hombres April 1, 1977 at 2516 Broadway in Grand Junction, Colorado. More than 30 years later the goal is the same: to serve fine Sonoran-style Mexican food to the residents and visitors of the Grand Valley. We prepare our food fresh daily, using the finest and freshest ingredients available.

Our complimentary chips are fried every morning in 100% vegetable oil and served unsalted
Sopapillas are made fresh using 100% vegetable shortening
We use only real sour cream and real dairy cheeses
Our house made guacamole is made with fresh avocados every day
Our Tequila menu is extensive offering 50 Tequilas to choose from
